First Major Bohol Event held at HCJ

The Lord has done wonderful things for Hope Chapel Jagna this past January.  First of all, the Bohol Division, Foursquare-Women (UFW) ministry held its Fellowship event in Jagna on the 20th to the 21st.  This is the first major event held here at Hope Chapel Jagna.  The Hope Chapel Jagna-Women were challenged to put together an event from zero resources.  Basically, HCJ gave the women the freedom to innovate, invent, to find ways to finance the event.  With lots of prayer by the HCJ members and lots of support for each other, they pulled through and received funding from HCJ leadership team, and Christian brothers and sisters all over Jagna. The women’s fellowship theme was “Women of Good Influence”, UFW-Bohol Division invited Pastora Tessie Felecio of the Negros Foursquare Church as featured speaker for the event.  The theme truly is so much so applicable in Jagna’s ministry (HCJ).  It helped, and equipped HCJ’s women to be a better influence for Jesus Christ wherever they are, even here in their own neighborhood.
Standing Firm on the Rock of Our Salvation...Jesus Christ!

I don’t have a family of my own (wife, children, etc.) but basically I have been adopted into the HCJ family.  HCJ have been brought closer by the LORD as a family, that when someone has a problem, each member have been going to another HCJ member for whatever problem they may have—family problem, children sick, need medicine, etc.

An example is Merry (pictured to the right in-front).  When her newborn son died because of complications at birth, her family (mother and siblings)  blamed  her being  a  Christian
or what  they  refer to as  “BORN AGAIN”, for  the  death  of
her son.  After the burial of her son she was given an option: whether she keep going to church at HCJ and be evicted or go back to the Catholic Church.  She chose to keep going to HCJ and as a result, she was evicted from home.  Though her husband is quite all right with her coming to church, his mother-in-law (Merry’s mom) made him to kick Merry out of the house.  She left with her two youngest children and went to one of our member’s home.  Through prayers and support from HCJ family, she found refuge and comfort and whatever else you can think of a human need for her and her two young children.  Overnight her husband went to claim her and the children back.  Currently, she and her kids are back home with her husband, granted her freedom to go to church and participate in the church activities—praying to win her husband to Christ.  Prayer has been our most effective weapon, and prayer will always be the only weapon against the enemy that tries to destroy God’s family.
